Learn More About Alumni Association President
The Sacred Heart University Alumni Association is pleased to announce Daniel Remiszewski ’14 as its new president. The association congratulates Remiszewski on his new role and welcomes the opportunity to work with him in strengthening relationships between the alumni and the University.
"Being entrusted as president of the Alumni Board isn’t just an honor—it’s a commitment to inspire, connect and uplift our shared legacy for years to come,” he said.
Remiszewski owns Stamford, CT-based Northeast Medical Institute, which provides aspiring health professionals with education and training for various fields within the health care industry. As early as high school, Remiszewski began laying the groundwork for his career in health care. Working as a certified nurse aide (CNA) through high school and college, he went on to earn a degree at Sacred Heart University and his master’s in healthcare administration from the University of New Haven. Throughout that time, he honed his skills and knowledge through many internships, which led to a full-time job at Stamford Health Medical Group—where he worked while completing his master’s program.
In 2018, when he opened Northeast Medical Institute, he achieved his dream of creating an educational center that would teach CNAs and other health professionals how to treat individuals with utmost respect. Remiszewski leads a team of staff members who educate and train aspiring CNAs, phlebotomists and patient care technicians, as well as those who want to learn CPR and first aid skills. Faculty members provide high quality and hands-on education to prepare students to graduate into roles in dynamic health care teams.
The association looks forward to working with Remiszewski in planning events and offering resources that keep alumni connected and engaged with their alma mater. Meanwhile, Remiszewski hopes to build a strong alumni community and encourage participation among young alumni.
"The future of alumni excellence lies in empowering the next generation,” he said. “Together, we’ll help our young alumni flourish and keep the Sacred Heart spirit alive."
