Junior Sarah Maybruck’s design wins contest

Sacred Heart University student Sarah Maybruck ’22 is the winner of the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT) and iHub powered by Verizon mural contest.

In the winter, the WCBT invited students to submit original mural designs that integrated the themes of innovation and sustainability. The competition encouraged students to capture the spirit and vision of SHU’s West Campus in their art pieces.

Maybruck is a graphic design major and a digital marketing and digital communications minor. Her piece is painted on the wall across from the iHub, on the second floor of West Campus.

She received a $500 award for winning the contest.

The iHub powered by Verizon offers innovators, entrepreneurs and companies an 8,000-square-foot platform to share ideas, hire student talent and work with faculty experts on projects. The space offers work stations, offices, conference rooms and amenities managed by a full-time community manager. With all kinds of ideas floating in the air, the vibrant space brings business and academia closer together with on-site internships and partnerships.
