Robert Donahue Is SHU’s New Director of Prospect Research
Position requires an expert in fundraising management and research
Sacred Heart University has hired Robert Donahue, a Fairfield native, as the new director of prospect research for University advancement.
This position leads the University advancement efforts around prospect identification, management and research to support the ambitious fundraising goals of the department.
Donahue has extensive experience in the field through previous roles as director of development for Catholic Charities of Fairfield County and Fairfield College Preparatory School. He also was director of alumni relations and director of annual and planned giving at Fairfield Prep. Prior to these positions, Donahue worked as a Medicare sales analyst at Oxford Health Plans and as a business analyst for Sikorsky Aircraft.
“I’m very excited to be a part of the dynamic team responsible for helping Sacred Heart raise the funds necessary to continue its historic campus growth and academic expansion,” Donahue said.
Donahue earned his master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, and a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. He volunteers at Fairfield’s Wakeman Boys & Girls Club and is a Little League coach in town. He is a member of the Fairfield Prep Alumni Association and the Xavier University Connecticut Alumni chapter.
