New Director of Major Gifts Brings Experience to Role
Sacred Heart University has hired Bradley Brown as University Advancement’s new director of major gifts for the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT).
In this role, Brown will drive the strategy and growth of a development program to support the WCBT’s entrepreneurial and fast-growing programs. He is responsible for building and deepening engagement with donors and driving broader awareness and philanthropic support for the college. Brown will build and maintain key relationships with alumni and other stakeholders.
“It is hard to not be amazed and inspired by the growth and development of Sacred Heart University and the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology,” said Brown, who resides in Cheshire but grew up in Milton, PA. “It is a credit to the University’s visionary institutional leadership. In collaboration with Dean Martha Crawford, it will be a privilege to build and foster meaningful relationships with our alumni, families and community leaders.”
Before joining SHU, Brown was a major gifts officer for Franklin and Marshall College for three years. Prior to that, he served as assistant director of Susquehanna University’s alumni, parent and donor engagement for three years. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.
“Growing up in central Pennsylvania, I was fortunate to be the beneficiary of a scholarship that was established by two local families from my hometown,” Brown said. “It was that level of intentionality and generosity, paired with the support of my own family, that propelled me toward a life-changing collegiate experience. As I step into this new role, I take an immense amount of pride in having the opportunity to partner with Sacred Heart University alumni, families and friends who are eager to create the same level of generational impact for our students and their families. My family and I are thrilled to be joining the SHU community.”
