Bryan Garcia is an immigrant of Guatemalan descent and first-generation college graduate. He grew up facing social and racial injustices within his community, which has led me to this Ph.D. degree program. His goal is to continue to advocate for those who need it. He believes his research will aid in understanding aspects of mental health within the Hispanic community that have yet to be studied.
