Frequently Asked Questions

Official transcripts from all previous colleges and/or universities attended must be provided for the application. In addition, a final, official transcript verifying bachelor's degree conferral date will be required.

Applicants may submit an unofficial transcript to expedite review of the application while official transcript requests are in process. All official transcripts must be received by the Office of Admissions before classes begin.

All prerequisite science and math courses must be taken within the past 5 years with a grade of B- or better.

At the time of application, applicants may have up to two prerequisite courses outstanding. All prerequisites must be completed satisfactorily before classes begin. 

It is recommended that all prerequisites be taken at a regionally accredited 2- or 4-year institution.

The application to the summer 2026 term will open after June 1, 2025. External applicants must apply via NursingCAS. Current SHU students or alumni should apply via our internal application.
