For Clinical Preceptors
We are seeking dedicated and passionate health care professionals to serve as clinical preceptors and help shape the next generation of providers. We invite Physicians, Licensed Physician Assistants (PAs), Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), psychologists, and social workers with diverse clinical expertise to join our dynamic training network.
As a valued preceptor, you will play a vital role in mentoring future clinicians while enjoying exclusive benefits, including complimentary online access to the University Library and the opportunity to apply for a faculty appointment with Sacred Heart University.
The SHU PA Program is proud to partner with a distinguished network of health care institutions, including Stamford Hospital, Bridgeport and Milford Hospital campuses, St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Hartford HealthCare, Montefiore Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Greenwich Hospital–Yale New Haven Health—providing rich, diverse clinical experiences for our students.
Clinical rotations are currently five weeks in length and offered year-round. Beginning in January 2028, we will transition to streamlined four-week clinical rotations, enhancing flexibility and expanding opportunities for both students and preceptors.
