The Board of Visitors was established to support the mission of the associate in nursing program (formerly under St. Vincent's College) by providing expertise and insight into nursing, rehabilitation, education, finance and business development.

As leaders in healthcare and related fields, they also serve as community ambassadors. This board works collaboratively with the Dean to carry out the college’s strategic vision and advance its resources.

Carmine Adimando Carmine Adimando is the chief executive officer of ChapelBridge Asset Management, which works with the Catholic church to sell its surplus properties and facilities in the Northeast to generate funds that are redirected back to its parishes and dioceses. Previously, he spent two decades as vice president of finance and administration, and treasurer at Pitney Bowes.

Mr. Adimando has been involved in the community for many years. He is currently the board chair for Hartford Healthcare-St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services and vice chair of St. Vincent’s Medical Center Foundation. Mr. Adimando is also a past member of Sacred Heart University’s board of regents.

Virginia DayVirginia Day is a chaplain and spiritual director with a deep connection to St. Vincent’s College, where she graduated in 1964 and served as a nursing instructor from 1970 to 1974. Ms. Day continued her education by receiving a BS from Boston College, a MS in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University, a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and a Master of Theology from Boston College. She was nominated for the Award of Excellence in Leadership by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 1992. Recently, Ms. Day was the nurse program coordinator and contact for The Cathedral Parish of St. Augustine and St. Patrick Church in Bridgeport.

Robert DunbarRobert Dunbar is the managing partner at Dunbar Associates, LLC and has been active in the community for many years. In addition to the St. Vincent’s College board of visitors, he serves on the board of Hartford Healthcare-St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services and is a past board member of Masonicare and the McGivney Community Center. Mr. Dunbar attended Sacred Heart University and holds several licenses and certificates in the financial and insurance fields, including insurance licenses in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.

Armand FabbriArmand Fabbri is the current chair of St. Vincent’s College board of visitors. Mr. Fabbri’s entire professional career has been spent in education—over 40 years in various roles for the Diocese of Bridgeport and another 10 years with St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Services at Seton Academy in Westport. Mr. Fabbri is a past member Sacred Heart University’s board of trustees, as well as the past chair of the board of trustees for St. Vincent’s College when it was an independent college.

Martin SbriglioMartin Sbriglio is chief executive officer of Ryders Health Management, a family-owned management company for independent skilled nursing & rehabilitation centers, home health care, companion care services and outpatient rehabilitation. Mr. Sbriglio is a 1977 graduate of St. Vincent’s College and served many years on its board of trustees when it was an independent college. He belongs to the American College of Health Care Administrators, which named him Administrator of the Year in 2003. Mr. Sbriglio also serves on the board of directors for the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities.

Frank ScifoFrank Scifo is a beloved family physician who served greater Stratford area for over 22 years. He was known to many as the host of “Health Talk,” an informative and popular radio call in-show that aired for over 24 years. His unparalleled volunteer work in the community has supported multiple projects and programs. He remains most passionate and proud of his work with St. Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound, a cancer charity program. He has served as its Chairman for the past 22 years. Since Dr. Scifo has been involved, the SWIM has raised more than $25 million, and is one of the largest assistance programs for cancer patients in the country.

Patients recall him as a quality physician who was committed and compassionate, a true “patient advocate.” Since leaving private practice, Dr. Scifo has served St. Vincent’s Medical Center in several roles including Chief Medical Officer for St. Vincent’s MultiSpecialty Group and as Director of Business Development for the St. Vincent’s Health System. Under Dr. Scifo’s leadership, St. Vincent's MSG was able to grow the primary care and specialty network and services lines. Since SVMC has joined the Hartford HealthCare family, Dr. Scifo is the Medical Director for Post-Acute Care in the Fairfield Region.

He has held many leadership positions in the community. Along with serving on the St. Vincent’s College board of visitors, Dr. Scifo serves as Medical Director of Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility and also an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine, Clinical Faculty at Quinnipiac’s Frank H. Netter School of Medicine.

Dr. Scifo, a mentor and a friend too many, has devoted countless hours to volunteering and received many awards for his service and dedication. In November of 2015, the Community Room at Stratford Health & Wellness Center was dedicated in his name.

A resident of Trumbull, Dr. Scifo and his wife Carolyn have two grown children and four grandchildren.
