Applicants to the Doctor of Medical Science (D.M.Sc.) program must meet the following criteria:

Educational Background

  • Master’s degree in physician assistant/associate studies (MSPAS) or an equivalent graduate degree from an ARC-PA-accredited program (or international equivalent)

Certification & Licensure

  • Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification (or equivalent credential for international applicants)
  • Active state licensure in good standing (if applicable)

Academic Performance

  • Minimum graduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • GPA below 3.0 consideration with evidence of significant professional experience or additional graduate-level coursework

  • Nonrefundable application fee
  • Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions (undergraduate and graduate)
  • Updated CV/résumé (exhibiting a minimum of seven years and a maximum of 10 years of work history), except those with fewer than seven years of work experience
  • Statement of purpose
