Become a leader in shaping the future of health care with a dual degree in health administration
The dynamic field of health care is always changing. Health care leaders are needed who can manage teams and organizations through challenges and opportunities brought on by technological advancements and innovation. In the dual degree health administration program, you will prepare to be an effective leader who can make an impact in clinical and nonclinical settings.
Dual degree students are guaranteed admission to the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program provided they continue, as undergraduate students, to meet program-specific criteria to progress into graduate program enrollment.
Two tracks to choose from:
Accelerated 3+2 Bachelor’s-Master of Health Administration
Students complete three years of undergraduate work and two years of graduate work, earning a bachelor’s degree and an MHA degree within five years. Students must major in Health Science and complete all requirements for the BS in Health Science by the end of the third year. Students work carefully with their undergraduate adviser to follow a specific sequence of study, which includes some summer course work. With appropriate planning, summer course work may be completed at other universities offering equivalent courses.
4+2 Bachelor’s-Master of Health Administration
Students earn their bachelor’s degree in the traditional four-year time frame and complete two years of graduate study in the Health Administration program, earning a bachelor’s degree and an MHA degree within six years. Students in nearly any major, except for nursing and interdisciplinary studies, can pursue this track. However, certain majors will allow for a more efficient plan of study.
