MS in Exercise and Sport Science
The MS in Exercise & Sport Science program gives students a comprehensive education in human anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, sports nutrition, data analytics, coaching skills, as well as the opportunity to design and implement programming for Division 1 athletes under the mentorship of our strength and conditioning (S&C) coaching staff.
Students in this program are trained to become both competent S&C practitioners as well as sport science professionals, capable of interpreting large sets of performance-based data. The program utilizes motion analysis, S&C, human performance and human cadaver laboratories.
In the Exercise & Sport Science graduate program, you will:
- Experience the flexibility of late afternoon/evening classes designed to meet the needs of full-time and part-time students
- Learn in state-of-the-art facilities, including a motion analysis lab, human performance lab and human cadaver lab, containing state-of-the-art equipment including AlterG Anti-Gravity treadmill, ParvoMedics Metabolic Cart, BOD POD Body Composition Tracking System, 3D motion analysis system, and more
- Demonstrate best practices, and acquire management skills in clinical practice, strength and conditioning settings, and coaching
- Benefit from a student-to-faculty ratio of approximately 5:1 and contribute to research activities with faculty members in clinical exercise settings, sport or clinical nutrition, and fitness/sport-related exercise programming
