Intermediate Administrator Certification (092)
The 18 credit, CSDE approved Intermediate Administrator Certification (092) is required for any school administrative position including Department Chair, Athletic Director, Special Education Director, Assistant Principal, Principal, up through Assistant Superintendent of Schools.
Upon successfully completing the 18 credit curriculum and passing the Connecticut Administrator Test (CAT), candidates can be recommended for the provisional 092. Program completers can then transition directly to our Certificate of Advanced Study in Social, Emotional & Academic Learning (SEAL) for Social Justice Leadership.
The CAS in SEAL engages candidates in such a way that their core professional ideas, experiences, and questions they hold central for becoming a school leader are identified, reflected on and engaged in an authentic manner. Graduates move on to be dynamic, engaged, and ethical leaders in the 21st Century. This 15 credit sequence also fulfills state requirements to upgrade the 092 certification from provisional to professional.
The Intermediate Administrator Certification (092) is offered at both the Fairfield campus and the Griswold location.
