BUAN 672 ML ALGORITHMS FOR BUSINESS   3.0 Credit(s)
This course equips students with the conceptual foundations and practical skills needed to apply machine learning (ML) in real-world business contexts. Students will explore core ML tasks including classification, estimation, prediction, affinity grouping, clustering, and data visualization. Students will learn how to harness these techniques to drive data-informed decisions and enhance organizational productivity. No technical background is assumed. The course demystifies the mathematics underlying ML algorithms while building hands-on proficiency through live coding sessions and applied data exercises. By bridging theory and practice, students develop the confidence to implement ML solutions across a range of business domains- from customer analytics to operational efficiency. Prerequisite: Take BUAN-660
