BUAN 667 BUILDING LANGUAGE MODELS & AGENTIC AI 3.0 Credit(s)
Teaches student how to build small language models and reasoning language models from scratch. Students will learn how to write effective "prompts" for generative/frontier models. This course covers Chain-of-Thought and Tree-of-Thought prompting strategies, fine-tuning models and deploying them in applications, and prepares students for emerging roles such as prompt engineer or AI/ML engineer and enhances general data-scientist jobs with cutting-edge Agentic AI skills. Prerequisite: Take BUAN-651
