PO 225 POWER, POLITICS, AND SOCIETY 3.0 Credit(s)
How do states make citizens-and citizens make states? This course examines the relationship between government, politics, and society: how power is organized, wielded, and contested. Students explore the major theories of democracy and apply them to pressing questions about civic engagement, political participation, and social movements. Through critical analysis and real-world examples, the course reveals the many ways political processes influence our cultural norms, social structures, and everyday lives.
