Ready to apply to Sacred Heart University as a full-time transfer student? Use this handy application checklist to stay organized. 

  • If you have not done so already, consider signing up for a virtual or in-person campus visit. Contact us at 203-371-7881 or visit@sacredheart.edu if you’d like assistance with planning your visit.
  • Submit your application using the Sacred Heart University application or Common Application. You can submit your application even if you do not have all of the required materials ready. Requested transcripts will be added to your file when we receive them.
  • Request that official transcripts be sent to SHU from all previous colleges and universities you have attended. You may submit unofficial transcripts in the meantime for a preliminary review your application and to create a credit evaluation, but official transcripts with final grades must be submitted before credits will be entered in SHU’s system.
  • Request that your official high school transcript or GED be sent to SHU.
  • Request that official AP Exam scores of 4 or 5 be sent to SHU.
  • Request SHU's Conduct Record Release Form be completed and returned from any/all colleges or universities you have attended previously.
  • You have the option to submit one letter of recommendation from a professor, counselor, advisor or employer.
  • Submit the non-refundable $50 application fee via the SHU website (if applying via the Sacred Heart University application) or online (when submitting your Common Application) or by check payable to Sacred Heart University).

Submission of SAT/ACT scores is not required.
