Next Steps for Admitted Part-Time Students

Submit Your Enrollment Deposit

Pay online via your Applicant Portal

Check Your Email Often

After you confirm your enrollment, check your personal and university email often for important updates about finalizing your enrollment and taking next steps to begin your SHU experience, such as:

  • Setting up your SHU account/email
After you submit your non-refundable deposit, you can activate your SHU network account and email. Once activated, you can access your email by logging in to the mySHU portal and selecting the Office365 icon under the "Quick Links" heading. You will need access to your SHU account and email to register for classes.
  • Submitting final transcripts to Admissions
Send final, official transcripts for all high school and college-level work completed.
  • Register for Part-Time Orientation
Submit your RSVP to attend Orientation on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Look for your invitation via email coming soon. Orientation is required for all new students and will take place on campus.
  • Providing proof of immunizations to Health Services
This is required for all degree-seeking students taking classes on campus and is due four weeks before classes begin or immediately following admission if that deadline has passed. Please note that it takes 5-10 business days to process paperwork once submitted. AS Radiography students will fulfill this requirement by submitting a program-specific immunization form, as part of the clinical compliance process. Instructions are provided by the department to admitted students following submission of a non-refundable enrollment deposit.
  • Registering for classes
Once you've submitted your non-refundable deposit and enrollment response form, you'll complete our academic questionnaire. The information you provide will allow an academic adviser to register you for a first-semester schedule based on your degree progress and availability.
  • Access Blackboard
Blackboard is a virtual learning environment, which you'll use to review and submit class assignments, view your grades, connect with your professors and classmates and much more. To access Blackboard, log in to the mySHU portal and select the Blackboard link in the "Quick Links" module.
  • Obtaining your SHUCard
New students should upload their photo online and pick up their ID at Campus Concierge when classes begin. IDs are typically ready 24 hours after uploading a photo.
  • Purchasing a digital student parking permit
