Office Assistant

This position presents a fast-paced working environment in a busy office preparing and assisting with time-sensitive mailings and data entry. Office assistants will gain administrative experience, offering the opportunity for students to build their resume and demonstrate a sense of responsibility.

Location

Due to the physical nature of assisting with various mailings, this position does not offer remote work assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, stuff and assist with large scale mailings to prospective students
  • Data entry of inquiry cards
  • Other office duties and projects as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Confidentiality of all undergraduate admissions operations
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Courteous and friendly to all office staff
  • Proper work attire
  • Ability to look closely at work to identify errors when necessary

Expected Hours

We are open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The hours can be flexible depending on class schedules but would require a commitment to a set schedule. 4-6 hours split between 2-3 days per week would be preferred. If the University is closed, has a delayed opening/early closing, students should observe this schedule over their work schedule.
