Scholarships
The mission of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) is to support the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide. Mu Delta’s members are nursing scholars committed to the pursuit of excellence in clinical practice, education, research and leadership.
Applicants for this scholarship program must be in compliance with the eligibility criteria for candidacy within Sigma Theta Tau International. Membership in STTI is not required to apply.
Applicants must be either undergraduate students in their senior year or graduate students. Second Degree Accelerated and RN to BSN students may apply as well.
Undergraduate Scholarship | First professional degree, SDA and/or RN-BSN students
Eligibility criteria include:
- Demonstration of superior academic achievement (must be an approved graduating senior in a BSN program, cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale)
- Adherence to academic integrity
- Demonstration of professional leadership
Graduate Scholarship | includes RN-MSN students
Eligibility criteria include:
- Master's and Doctoral students demonstrate superior academic achievement (completed at least 1/4 of the nursing curriculum with a cumulative
- GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 grading scale)
- Adherence to academic integrity
- Demonstration of professional leadership
General Information
- Each answer will be evaluated on a score of 1-3 points, where 1 is a low score and 3 is high score). Answers will be evaluated for clarity of explanations for answering questions, student need, leadership/leadership potential, and writing skills. Each answer should not exceed 300 words.
- Completed applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on March 8, 2025.
- Number of scholarships and sums awarded are dependent upon the total number of applicants. (To be determined by Mu Delta Scholarship Review committee)
Preference for these scholarships will be awarded to students of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. See Mu Delta Chapter bylaws for limitations regarding use of award monies.
