Welcome to the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology

At the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT), we believe business education should prepare students for successful careers and a lifetime of leadership, innovation, and impact. Whether you're considering Sacred Heart for the first time, are reconnecting as an alum, or are exploring opportunities to partner with us, I'm delighted to welcome you to learn more about our college. Business education is undergoing profound changes. Artificial intelligence, shifting global markets, technological innovation, and evolving societal expectations are reshaping what organizations need from their leaders. Our responsibility is not simply to help students keep pace with these changes, but to prepare them to navigate uncertainty.

That preparation begins with our faculty. Since arriving at Sacred Heart, I have been continually impressed by their commitment to our students and to one another. They bring together academic expertise and real-world experience, but what truly sets them apart is their investment in each student’s success. They challenge students and help them develop the habits of learning that will serve them throughout their careers.

Learning at the WCBT extends well beyond the classroom. Through internships, consulting projects, research, experiential learning, and strong partnerships with employers and community organizations, our students apply what they learn in authentic settings. They are also building a network of professional relationships that will shape future opportunities.

We also believe that business education carries an important responsibility. Organizations increasingly seek graduates who can think critically, communicate effectively, embrace new technologies responsibly, and lead with both competence and character. These qualities are as important as technical expertise and they remain central to our teachings and mission.

The WCBT is a community where students are encouraged to challenge ideas and discover new possibilities. We are proud of the supportive environment we have built and are excited about the future we are creating together.
