The Jack Welch College of Business & Technology is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). This exclusive accreditation signifies the quality and merit of the College's Business curriculum. It is only awarded to colleges after a rigorous evaluation and requires colleges to meet the highest level of standards for schools and colleges of business.

The School of Computer Science & Engineering programs in computer science, information technology, game design, computer engineering and electrical engineering are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). ABET accreditation provides assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards of the profession for which that program prepares graduates.

Additionally, Sacred Heart University is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).  NECHE is the regional accreditation agency for colleges and universities in the six New England states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Three institutions in Greece, three in Switzerland, two in Lebanon, and one in Bulgaria, Bermuda, and Morocco, respectively, are also affiliated with NECHE.

Danny Pannese

Assoc. Professor, Accounting & Information Systems
Pannese, a SHU alum who has taught here for more than four decades, has worked for KPMG Peat, Marwick and the Internal Revenue Service as a field agent and appeals officer. A member of the alumni board, he has written questions for the audit and tax portions of the CPA exam and has published articles on current issues in taxation, forensics and business valuation in both academic and practitioner journals. He co-teaches in the volunteer income tax program, as well as teaching tax, business valuation and forensic courses.
