Sacred Heart University and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) are proud to offer eligible and qualified SHU students the opportunity to apply for a seat in the LECOM Early Acceptance Program (EAP).

Students that interview, are accepted, and successfully matriculate have the opportunity to graduate from LECOM with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, DO.

What is osteopathic medicine?

A distinct branch of medicine in the U.S., osteopathic medicine emphasizes the interrelated unity of all systems in the body, each working with the other to heal in times of illness.

Process

Application to enroll in the EAP may occur prior to matriculation at Sacred Heart; i.e., as a high school senior, or after matriculation at Sacred Heart. Application to the EAP is initiated by an inquiry through a link on the LECOM portal.

Students interviewing successfully will be offered a provisional acceptance to LECOM’s Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program.
