JP's Diner
JP’s Diner is a '50s-style diner and the first on-campus diner in all of New England. Named after SHU President John J. Petillo, JP’s is located between the William Pitt Athletic & Convocation Center and Pioneer Park.
The diner offers a variety of food options for students in a fun, unique setting. JP’s serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu contains about 25 to 30 classic diner items including burgers, patty melts and club sandwiches. Dessert options include delicious pies, ice cream, cheesecake and, of course, milkshakes, a diner staple. JP's uses dining dollars and offers a take-out menu. Visit the SHU Dining website for additional information.
The diner has a big screen TV to showcase vintage black and white movies and seats approximately 110 people inside as well as 40 people outside.
Working at JP's
JP’s is committed to hiring students in a variety of different positions such as servers, bussers, hosts and possibly cooks, and partners with a student management program. These experiences allow students to work closely with their peers while gaining knowledge and experience that can be used outside of JP’s.
