Research Interests

Dr. James combines neuroscientific techniques to investigate neurological and developmental disorders, like fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs), using rodent models. These techniques are used in unison to get a global evaluation of the functional health of the brain. Altogether the work from the lab will improve our understanding of how various neurological and developmental disorders impair our thinking and behavior, and it will help to identify new therapeutic treatments for previously untreatable disorders.
