Michele M. Suhie, PhD, MT(ASCP), NBC-HWC, DipACLM

Dr. Suhie has been teaching at Sacred Heart University since 2007, in the programs of exercise science, health science and geriatric health & wellness. Prior to joining SHU, she previously served as the program manager and a clinical instructor in the Medical Technology Program at The Ohio State University. At Sacred Heart University, in addition to teaching courses, Dr. Suhie served as the program coordinator and advisor for the Geriatric Health & Wellness Program from 2012-2016, prior to relocating back to Ohio in 2016. She continues to teach and develop online courses for SHU.
Currently, in addition to teaching courses in the exercise science program, Dr. Suhie also works part-time as a national board-certified health & wellness coach specializing in lifestyle medicine, while also providing continuing education for other NBC-HWCs and serving as a musician/vocalist for her local faith community. She also occasionally produces blog articles and podcast episodes that share insights into the intersection of faith and reason, through the integration of lifestyle medicine, positive psychology and spiritual growth in the Catholic faith.
Dr. Suhie has remained involved in the university community by previously serving as the College of Health Professions adjunct representative to the University Academic Assembly and the UAA Council (academic years 2020-2023). She also served as co-vice chair of the SHU Adjunct Council from 2022-2023.
