Mel L. Horton, Ed.D.
Office Location
Horton joined Sacred Heart University's faculty in 2018. Her previous position was as associate dean for the School of Education and Professional Studies at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.
Horton’s interests are in accreditation and assessment, particularly teacher performance assessment. She is a lead site visitor with the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation and a National Academy consultant for the Stanford Center for Assessment, Learning and Equity, in partnership with the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
