Teaching Responsibilities

Dr. Mishra teaches courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of speech, language, clinical methods, and Autism and related disorders. Undergraduate courses include Development of Language and Phonetics. Graduate courses include Screening and Diagnostics, School-Based SLP Practice, Autism, AAC, and Severe Disorders of Communication and Intensive Clinical Experiences.

Research Interests & Grants

Dr. Mishra conducts research in the areas of ASD and AAC. He most recently published on gestural communication in toddlers with ASD versus controls. Dr. Mishra’s work has been supported by SHU funding as well as the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority (CHEFA). His research is often conducted in collaboration with undergraduate and graduate students, practicing speech-language pathologists, and faculty of related disciplines.
