The Matthew Galligan Scholarship was established in 2020 by Michael and Mary Galligan in memory of their son who passed away on November 22, 2017 after a 23-month courageous battle with Glioblastoma (GBM) brain cancer. Matt continued his studies at Sacred Heart for a year and a half after being diagnosed, and he did so with enthusiasm and determination. Matt’s great smile, spirit and generous heart will never be forgotten and will live on through the students that benefit from his scholarship.
