"One of my favorite things about being a student at SHU is that I am always surrounded by caring, hardworking, influential people. I feel I have a support system that is always here for me. Another thing that I love is that there is always something to do on campus to have some great laughs or make long lasting memories.

My professional goal is to be a Physical Assistant in Pediatrics or in Surgery. The Health Sciences major has equipped me with beneficial knowledge about the health care system that I can use in the future. In addition to my academics, I perform community service at the local Jewish Home. I also like being active in my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta.

Thank you so much for letting me be the recipient of the Elizabeth Pfriem scholarship. I am honored to have received this scholarship. With this generous support I am able to continue to pursue my college education. I would like to express my sincere gratitude toward your generosity that will aid me in my promising future. This will exceedingly help me achieve my goals and will help me rise to my fullest potential."

The one thing I love about SHU is that I can make connections with people I never thought I would meet. Whether through volunteering, working, attending or participating in functions and events or even in the classroom, there's always something to have in common with another member of the SHU community and it's what brings us closer.

My professional goals are to first get my bachelor’s degree in health science and then go to graduate school for my master’s in occupational therapy. My major has helped me understand the work my field of study requires and be the best contributor to my society that I can be.

I enjoy community service and working at a senior living home within my community as I hope to one day work in geriatrics within my profession.

I'd like to thank you so much for this opportunity to be one step closer to achieving my education. It's scholarships like these that make it easier for my family to be able to send me to such a great school and for me to succeed in such an amazing program.
