About the Endowed Scholarship
The Dr. Babu George Endowed Scholarship was created in 2007 in honor of Dr. Babu George, a former faculty member at Sacred Heart University.

"I love SHU's dedication to using what is learned in the classroom to help the community. My goal is to work on the business side of a chemical or pharmaceutical company. SHU has helped me develop a vast amount of technical knowledge to utilize for my goal. I am a member of the Division I Swim Team and the American Chemical Society. I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for your generous contribution to my education. This scholarship will not only help with the cost of books, but also help me as I am taking what I've learned at SHU and apply it to the real world. This scholarship has alleviated a lot of stress during my senior year."

"I love how close the Chemistry Department is; I can go to any student in my major or even any professor in the department and I know I will get the help I need. I would like to attend pharmacy school after I graduate. My major in chemistry helped me gain background knowledge and get a head start on the prerequisites I need to work in retail pharmacy. I am part of the Sacred Heart Student Affiliate Chapter of the American Chemistry Society as well as part of the Division I Women's Lacrosse Team. Thank you for this scholarship.
