"SHU is just the right size. There are plenty of places around campus to go and meet people and, although I recognize many people around campus, I can still find different ways to meet someone new.

My main goal is to take a variety of classes to help decide what profession would interest me the most. I also enjoy being a member of Greek life.

My family and I greatly appreciate your support for my education. This allows me to feel more financially comfortable and it motivates me to work harder as a student."

"The first thing I like about Sacred Heart is the culture. The school really cares about your career and professional goals and does everything it can to put you on the right path. Also, everyone is here to help one another and there isn't a big sense of competition that students might feel at other schools.

The second thing I love most about the school is the accessibility of the professors. Throughout the past several years, I've developed very close relationships with my professors, and whenever I have a question or want to learn more about a certain topic, they always find the time to talk about it, as well as offer their personal advice or answer any questions that I have about my career.

I'm currently studying finance with a minor in business data analytics. As the world is getting digitized, these fields of study have given me the current insight and skills I need in order to prepare for potential interviews, excel in my internships and meet my short- and long-term goals. The education I have received has helped me land my first professional goal of working on Wall Street upon graduation.

On campus, I've had the opportunity to join various groups and programs that support what I learn inside the classroom, including the Investment Management Program, Student-Managed Investment Fund, the Thomas More Honors Program, and others.

Outside of campus, I like to push myself physically by playing on the Div. I Men's Volleyball Team. It takes my mind off of school and I enjoy playing the sport that has always been a part of my life. Being from Puerto Rico, it was not easy to immerse myself into a completely different culture, but luckily the team was very welcoming.

I want to thank you for this incredibly generous donation. I feel very grateful to see that someone who is successful in the same industry I am pursuing was able to see the hard work I've put in the last couple of years and provide this financial support. You're an inspiration to me and many other students at Sacred Heart, and I hope we get the chance to meet one day to learn what it takes to become a successful financier and entrepreneur. Thanks again."

"I love that I am able to get an education at a growing university that offers so many opportunities. I am lucky to be able to learn from such great professors and have people around me that have similar interests and a drive to be the best they can be. I love that the University is growing at such a fast pace that we are able to get new facilities like residence halls and athletic facilities. Being at SHU is one of the best decisions I have made.

My professional goals are to be the best that I can be. The world of finance has so much to offer that I cannot make a choice on a profession in only my second year of college. I am sure that this upcoming year, as I get more of a taste of what finance is all about, I will have a better understanding of what it is I want to do. Also having an honors minor will allow me to learn from some of the University’s best faculty. I definitely feel the path that I am on will set me up for success.

At SHU there are so many different opportunities. I most enjoy being involved in intramural sports. It allows me to have a sense of camaraderie among my peers, along with being able to meet hundreds of other students on campus.

Thank you so much. My parents are giving me an opportunity of a lifetime to attend SHU, and I have been doing everything I can to show them how grateful I am. They are some of the greatest people in the world and have huge hearts. I want to thank Anthony Scaramucci for giving this gift to not only me, but my parents as well. I am blessed to have this opportunity at Sacred Heart, and I am not letting it go to waste. Thanks again."

Major: Finance and Sports Management

"I love everything about Sacred Heart University – from being a part of the Division I Soccer Team, to making lifelong friends in the classroom. Sacred Heart feels like a second home for me.

I look forward to moving into the finance world. I picked up a second major in sports management just in case a finance opportunity in the sports industry appears.

When I am not in class, I am playing soccer or performing community service with my team.

Thank you so much for this wonderful scholarship. The time commitment of being a student-athlete makes it difficult for me to work outside of class. This will help me and my family tremendously and we couldn't thank you enough."

Major: Finance & Economics

"As a Finance and Economics major, the staff at the business school is always readily available and open to help me in any way possible. The size of SHU really allows students and professors to connect at a deeper level than just being one of 200 other students in a lecture hall. My goal is to begin my professional career within the finance industry and work towards getting my CFA. I am the captain of the Tennis Team at SHU and this is by far the greatest experience outside the classroom. I have enjoyed every practice, match and traveling experience with my team. Because I grew up in Puerto Rico, attending a University in the United States was always my biggest goal. Your generous scholarship helps relieve the financial struggles that my parents face as they pay for three college educations (me and my two siblings). My family and I are incredibly grateful and appreciative. Thank you!"
