Hi! My name is Matt Eberle. I am a senior marketing major from New Providence, New Jersey. I did the two-week program in Dingle at the end of my sophomore year. In the spring of 2025, I was able to study abroad for the semester in Australia. Studying abroad forced me to step outside of my comfort zone and broaden my horizons. I was able to travel to different countries over the semester and make friends with people from around the world. I immersed myself in the culture and took advantage of every opportunity I was given. Samantha Marinelli | Fashion Marketing and Merchandising

Hi! I'm Sam Marinelli and I am a fashion marketing & merchandising major with a minor in digital marketing from Westchester, NY. I also am a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and Fashion Club. This summer I got to study global luxury retailing abroad in Paris, France, for two weeks. When I signed up, I was nervous about leaving the country for the first time, but I am so happy that I decided to go and experience how beautiful France truly is. From visiting Versailles, the Dior Museum, shopping and dining on French cuisine, I got to see so many different aspects of French culture and the luxury fashion industry. This experience not only broadened my global perspective but also deepened my passion for pursuing a career in fashion. I hope to encourage others to step out of their comfort zone and explore what studying abroad has to offer!

Bryan Lynch | History

I studied abroad in Dingle, Ireland, during the Fall 2023 semester. As a history major and a future social studies teacher, I love learning about history. Being able to explore Ireland and the rest of Europe on my own, and discover things for the first time was incredible. The way of life in Europe is certainly different from that in the United States, and being a part of it and learning why things are the way they are was so interesting to me. Seeing life in different countries is eye-opening and has shaped who I am today. Hi! My name is Katie Haig, and I’m a sophomore and English major at Sacred Heart. Alongside being a member of the English and Psychology Clubs, I’m in the honors program and am the recipient of the “Best Writing” award at Sacred Heart’s 2024 Academic Festival. Passionate about learning, I hope to be a high school English teacher after I graduate. I love to read, write, exercise and spend time with my friends, my family, and, of course, my dogs! During the summer, I studied at John Cabot University in Rome for six weeks, and it was the greatest experience of my life. Studying abroad introduced me to friends I never otherwise would have met and opened my mind to new academic opportunities and interests. Exploring the intricacies of a new place was a dream come true, and I am looking forward to guiding others toward an equally fulfilling experience.
