Sacred Heart University's Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (RSP) is dedicated to fostering excellence in research, scholarship and innovation. Aligned with SHU's mission and values, we create a collaborative and supportive environment where faculty, staff and students can secure external funding, pursue their passions, and make a meaningful impact on society. Together, we are shaping the future within our community and beyond.
What We Do
RSP provides the guidance and resources needed to grow research, support scholarly activities and transform ideas into impactful projects. We support our community through every stage of the grant process, from finding funding to managing awarded projects. Our services include:
- Comprehensive support throughout the grant lifecycle: from funding opportunities to post-award management.
- Assistance throughout all phases of the grant application process, including writing, compliance and submission review.
- Post-award management, including award negotiations, financial oversight and compliance.
- Ensuring research complies with federal, state and institutional regulations through training on research ethics and related areas.
- Promoting collaboration and celebrating research and scholarly achievements.
For assistance, please visit RSP’s intranet site or contact us at RSP@sacredheart.edu or 203-371-7958.
