All students bringing a car to campus must make their request for a digital parking permit online.

Information needed to complete request online:

  • Sacred Heart University network ID & password
  • Vehicle information
  • Connecticut address for commuting students

Information required to pick-up decal:

  • Sacred Heart University ID card
  • Motor vehicle registration

The $50 cost will be billed to your student account

Residents Lottery Information

  • Residential hall parking is limited
  • Requests received after the residential hall lots are fully assigned will be reviewed for space, as available, for possible assignment to the overflow parking location
  • Students are only allowed one (1) decal
  • There will be a charge of $20 for replacement decal requests
  • All vehicles are required to have SHU parking decals to park on campus property. The decals must be affixed to the vehicle as instructed
  • All parking decals expire annually on June 30
  • Failure to adhere to parking rules and/or purchase a decal will result in parking violations to include, but not limited to, ticketing, booting and/or tow at the student's expense
  • Vehicles without a current decal are subject to a plate search to identify the vehicle’s owner which will result in a non-refundable administrative surcharge of $50

Cost

  • Resident Hall: $500
  • Designated Overflow: $200

Selection Process

Participants will be notified via SHU email regarding lottery awarded parking permit assignments in August, prior to the start of classes.
