Why’d You Choose SHU?
I remember touring SHU’s campus as a freshman during my high school career. I was a part of a college prep program called AVID which took students on college tours. When I toured SHU, I felt an immense warmth and sense of community which resonated with me for years. When it was time to apply, I was impressed by the quality of health professional programs and Performing Arts Programs.
What do you do now?
I am currently a bilingual Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist working specifically with infants and toddlers who present with communication and developmental delays.
Advice to Underrepresented SHU Students
Seek out the community around you. Don’t be afraid to connect with others, embrace what makes you unique, even if it isn’t celebrated or popular. Know that you belong and don’t be afraid to leave or make your mark.
