Why’d You Choose SHU?

I hadn’t heard of Sacred Heart until a coach came to my school to recruit me for football. After doing some research and taking a visit to campus, I knew that this was where I wanted to go to school. It was definitely a place that I felt I could see myself being at for the next four years.

What do you do now? 

Currently, I work for Under Armor as a Visual Content Creator. My team and I are responsible for capturing the product photography and videography that you see on UA’s social handles and ad campaigns. We work with some of the top athletes across all sports to create engaging pieces to help show why our products make athletes better.

Advice to Underrepresented SHU Students

I would challenge underrepresented students to make their presence felt in whatever space they are in. Whether it’s speaking up to make your voice heard, or stepping up to take on new opportunities, I think it’s important to always make sure you are staying in the mix. As an underrepresented student, it can be very easy to be overlooked or brushed to the side. It can be frustrating, but if you remain persistent, you will start to see more opportunities become available to you. Keep applying that pressure to make sure they feel you!
