Why’d You Choose SHU?
I initially chose SHU for the tight-knit community and the potential to establish close relationships with students and professors. Little did I know that years later I would leave with a state-of-the-art degree, access to one of the best communication and media studies programs, an accomplished track & field career, and friends that I now call family.
What Do You Do Now?
I am working in Marketing for Reebok as the Retail Marketing Coordinator.
Advice for Underrepresented SHU Students
Do not be afraid to stand out and pave a path of your own (whether it be academically, athletically, or any other personal area of involvement). Challenge the norm and utilize the resources around you to propel your future forward. As a minority at a PWI, it can be easy to assimilate but take advantage of the space that college provides; an opportunity for you to explore your interests and live unapologetically.
