Why’d You Choose SHU?
I was looking for a school that integrated great academic options and D1 athletics. One of the other characteristics I loved about SHU was how the class sizes were just the right amount of students so it was less intimidating.
What do you do now?
I have been working with clinical trial management as well as business operations since graduating. This month, I will begin a new role as a Research Project Manager at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center working with the Clinical Research Strategic Partnerships team.
Advice to Underrepresented SHU Students
Don’t put so much pressure on yourself during these years. While the years in college are important, it’s just as crucial to enjoy the experience and establish lifelong, meaningful friendships. Always utilize the resources and insight from professors and other mentors, especially your fellow students. Immerse yourself in diverse groups, get to know others who might come from a different background. Be open to learning something new no matter the circumstance.
