He was born and raised on the “Gulf Coast” of Alabama where his familial roots and the cultural richness of the region greatly impacted who he is today. He spends his spare time primarily with his family but enjoys engaging in a number of hobbies and interests such as off-roading and building model military aircraft. The theme of service is also captured in his volunteerism where he travels the country visiting schools and communities as a motivational speaker. As a lifelong learner and fierce proponent of education and equity, Dr. Crook lives by his fraternity’s motto of “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity.”
