Programs We Offer
The Bar Exam
If you choose to party, you want to have a good time, right? Trust us - DUI's, assaults, and alcohol poisonings are not a good time. We’ll bring the red solo cups, challenge some common misperceptions, and show you some ways to keep in the green zone if you or your friends choose to drink!
S.w.e.e.t. Dreams
How can we get enough sleep in the 24/7 college world we live in? We’ll share why adequate sleep is crucial (not *optional*) for wellness and academic success. See how you score on our sleep quiz, get some tips on getting good sleep despite living in a loud/hot/cold/distracting/super fun residence hall, and take home a free s.w.e.e.t. sleep mask!
Paws & Relax
Taking time out for self-care helps us deal with the stress of college life. And what’s better than fluffy, puppy self-care? We schedule therapy dogs to make regular visits to campus to remind students it's important to take a purposeful break. Follow us on Instagram @shu_sweetpeered to make sure you never miss a visit!
ProjectConnect
Want to form deeper connections, build friendships, and meet new people? ProjectConnect is a peer-led group of about 4-6 students that meets weekly for 5 weeks. Dive into conversation, answer thought provoking questions, learn more about yourself and your fellow Pioneers! Bring ProjectConnect to your student organization, Greek Life chapter, residence hall or team. Let's stay connected SHU!
The Bandana Project
The Bandana Project (TBP) is a volunteer-driven movement dedicated to preventing suicide through promoting help-seeking behavior and increasing awareness of vital mental health resources. After taking a pledge and accepting mental health resource information, TBP volunteers can proudly display a lime-green bandana on their backpack, bag, or person, signifying they have pledged to be a safe individual to approach for mental health and suicide prevention information and resources. Our hope is that the bandanas seen across campus will show that SHU is a place where we look out for each other and care about the mental health of our community members. We want students to feel empowered, encouraged, and supported in talking openly about mental health!
