  • Creation and alignment of learning objectives
  • Gathering feedback from students
  • Developing assessments, rubrics and equitable grading practices
  • Engaging students and developing learning activities
  • Equitable and inclusive teaching practices
  • Creation of accessible course content and media

Instructors may email ctl@sacredheart.edu for short questions, or schedule an appointment for an in-person or virtual consultation.

I just [taught] a grad psych course (Diversity & Cross-Cultural Issues Within Organizations) and I wouldn't have been able to do it without [CTL] guidance and help over the past six months. I was somewhat anxious because it was my first time teaching a grad level course and [I was guided] every step of the way regarding best practices.

Departmental Consultations

Departments play key roles in the implementation of curricular priorities and developing supportive teaching cultures for their faculty. The CTL is available to partner with departments on developing a shared vision for course learning outcomes, aligning learning activities to learning objectives and assessments, offering tailored teaching workshops for individual departments, and more. Faculty and administrators can schedule an appointment for a departmental consultation.
