The Sacred Heart Alumni Association is excited to announce the opening of nominations for the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Awards. These prestigious awards aim to recognize and honor outstanding alumni who embody the mission and core values of our University.
2024 Honorees
Peter M. Gabriel MBA '08 | Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award
The Alumni Achievement Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Alumni Association. It recognizes achievement of an exceptional nature in both a person's career and service to society.
Jenna M. Greco '17 | Pioneer Award
The Pioneer Award is rooted in Sacred Heart's mission to educate the whole person while preparing students to lead and serve in the world today. The Award honors an individual who personifies Sacred Heart values through outstanding vocational achievement that make a profound difference in the lives of others.
Michael F. Dow '98, M.S. '00 & Michael W. Nimons '97, MAT '00 | Silver Pioneer Outstanding Alumni Award
Recognizes an alumnus that has reached a 25th milestone class reunion year whose life has been exemplary. The individual may have made significant contributions to her/his chosen profession, offered outstanding leadership in her/his community, exhibited an exceptional degree of dedication and/or service to Sacred Heart, or any combination of the above.
Jason P. Prevelige '04 | Rising Alumni Award
This award recognizes mid-career professional (11-24 years out from graduation) who are moving the needle in their chosen passions as entrepreneurs, game-changers, influencers, leaders, mentors or champions for equality.
Tara L. DeDominicis '14 | Pioneer 30 Young Alumni Award
Recognizes the accomplishments of rising young alumni who are living out the mission of Sacred Heart University by using their education to impact their professions and communities. Nominees must have graduated in the past 10 years and embody the core values of Sacred Heart University, which include a commitment to excellence, pursuit of truth and knowledge through teaching and learning and recognition that every individual is valued.
Lilliam "Lillie" Ennis '04 | Volunteer Service Award
The Volunteer Service Award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution or significant service to the Sacred Heart University community, or his/her own community, which reflects the mission of Sacred Heart University.
Judy Ann Riccio | Distinguished Faculty & Staff Award
The Distinguished Faculty/Staff Award is bestowed on a current or retired faculty or staff member who has demonstrated extraordinary contributions to the University community as an educator and/or by enhancing student experience.
