College of Nursing Gains Three New Professors
Each brings different specialties to share with students
Sacred Heart University has welcomed three new, uniquely qualified faculty members to join the Dr. Susan L. Davis, R.N., & Richard J. Henley College of Nursing, and its top-tier programs that are ranked among the best in Connecticut and America.
These accomplished professors, who have impressive backgrounds in advanced health assessment, wellness and diversity, will work in tandem with SHU’s industry-level facilities to ensure all nursing students are immersed in the best possible learning environment as they prepare to enter the booming health-care industry.
Adele K. Stanley, Clinical Assistant Professor
Teaching responsibilities: Psychiatric mental health nursing and health, wellness and clinical diversity
Personal fact: Stanley is the first to graduate from college in her family. She lives with her husband and two daughters, ages 7 and 15. She also enjoys skiing with her husband and two daughters.
Chrystyne Olivieri, Assistant Graduate Professor
Teaching responsibilities: Graduate nursing in the family nurse practitioner-doctor of nursing practice hybrid program
Personal fact: In 2010, Olivieri learned about the paleo diet and all the health benefits that an ancestral diet confers, and she has incorporated it into her student teaching and patient care.
Jennifer Ryan, Clinical Assistant Professor
Teaching responsibilities: Pharmacology, sophomore lab, childbearing
Personal fact: Ryan is the 10th child in a family of 12 children. She has eight sisters and three brothers.
