The Ph.D. in Social Work program outcomes are informed by the Group for Advancement of Doctoral Education in Social Work (GADE) Quality Guidelines for PhD Programs in Social Work.
Program Outcomes
- Candidates will demonstrate in depth knowledge of conceptual underpinnings, ethical considerations and technical aspects of social work research to advance social and racial justice
- Candidates will develop their pedagogical approach and teaching strategies using integrated, anti-racist frameworks to create inclusive learning environments and prepare practitioners to serve vulnerable populations
- Candidates will deepen their knowledge of social work theories and integrated practice models, evidence-informed interventions and social policies that advance social and racial justice
- Graduates will be prepared for ethical scholarship, teaching and practice and to serve as stewards of the social work profession
