The JMP program has a fall and spring entry term.

No previous media production experience or communications coursework is required to complete the JMP program, and we encourage all motivated learners from any undergraduate major or career to apply. Applications are reviewed by the admissions committee on a rolling basis. The following documents must be submitted and will be considered when applying:

  • Online Application
  • Non-refundable application fee
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended. Sacred Heart University students and alumni may authorize Graduate Admissions to obtain their official SHU transcripts on their behalf
  • Personal statement: a one-page statement describing career goals and reasons for interest in the program.
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Professional resume
