The MA in higher education & student affairs prepares individuals for careers in administration, management, and leadership in public and private, two- and four-year colleges, universities, and other institutions. New graduates often find jobs in the following areas:
Students of any undergraduate major may apply to the Bachelor’s–Master of Arts in higher education 4+1 dual degree program as incoming first-year students. You'll be admitted directly into the graduate program upon admission to the University as an undergraduate student, giving you a clear, accelerated path to earn your Master of Arts in higher education & student affairs.
Sacred Heart undergraduates can fast-track their future by earning a bachelor's and a master's degree in just five years. You'll work with your adviser to develop your 4+1 plan.
The start tern is fall (August).
You can complete the program in one year (full time) or two years (part time).
The curriculum features fully online, asynchronous classes, which means you will complete coursework online, on your schedule within each course's weekly expectations.
33-36 credits. If you work in higher education, three credits are waived, which can reduce the total credits you need to complete.
The cost per credit is $785. Your total tuition will depend on your final credit total, and it may be lower if you qualify for the three-credit waiver.
You may qualify for financial support options such as graduate grant-in-aid, veteran benefits, graduate assistantships, and residence hall director positions.
