The Superintendent of Schools (093) certification program prepares candidates by examining problems of leadership practice for school superintendents through coursework and a yearlong internship.

The curriculum is taught by highly successful superintendents of schools to address the demands and opportunities of the current superintendent role.

Delivery

This is a one-year, 15-credit program consisting of four courses offered in a cohort model. Over two semesters, courses begin with one virtual meeting on a Friday night, followed by on-campus meetings for four alternating Saturdays.

All instructors are experienced superintendents of schools with a track record of sustained excellence. Each cohort will have three adjunct professors who are practicing superintendents in Connecticut.
