How to Apply

Complete the online SHU Graduate Application

Most programs will utilize the Sacred Heart Graduate Application above but there are several programs that use a Centralized Application Service for external students including:

  • Athletic Training (ATCAS)
  • Master of Public Health (SOPHAS)
  • Occupational Therapy (OTCAS)
  • Physician Assistant (CASPA)
  • Physical Therapy (PTCAS)
  • Speech-Language Pathology (CSDCAS)

Current SHU Students

All current SHU students should use the Sacred Heart Graduate Application, even for the programs listed above.

For the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) program, all applicants, both internal and external need to use CASPA.

Application Fee

There is a nonrefundable $75 graduate application fee. This fee is waived for current SHU students and SHU alumni.

Required Materials

Each program has specific application requirements, but generally the requirements may include:

  • Online Application
  • Non-refundable application fee
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a 3.0 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended
  • Written personal statement- a one-page statement describing your interest and qualifications for the program, as well as history of relevant experience
  • 2 Letters of recommendation
  • Professional resume

Test Scores

Most Sacred Heart graduate programs do not require test scores. For more details on the  specific application requirements, visit the program page.
