Graduate Student Worker

This graduate student worker will support the Higher Education Mental Health Services Initiative by coordinating, implementing and overseeing Project Connect, a peer-led, evidence-based program that builds connection, community and targets loneliness and isolation on campus. This project is funded by the Connecticut Office of Higher Education.

  • Part-time (10 hours per week)
  • Compensation: stipend only ($17 per hour)
  • Academic program preferred: psychology, counseling, social work, public health or related field

Responsibilities

  • Promoting Project Connect through campus outreach and digital media
  • Recruiting student facilitators and participants through population level and targeted marketing
  • Coordination of facilitator training and ongoing scheduling for Project Connect groups
  • Provide ongoing supervision for student facilitators
  • Manage program evaluation
  • Other mental health promotion duties may be assigned as the need arises
