Vaccine Equity & Access Program Graduate Research Assistant #2
This position will support the project, “Vaccine Equity for Immigrant Communities in Bridgeport and Hartford”. The goal of this program is for all vaccine clinics in Hartford and Bridgeport to be safe spaces for undocumented community members. Research includes work in the areas of building community resilience, natural disasters and global health.
- Part-Time (10-15 hours/week)
- Compensation: $5,000 tuition waiver

- Literature searches as needed
- Assistance with data collection for research projects
- Assistance with implementation of research activities
- Work with community partners to develop health promotion strategies
Knowledge & Skills Needed
- Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must have a car and valid driver's license
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
- Some research experience preferred
- Interest in conducting research required
- Strong writing skills
USDA Research Grant Graduate Research Assistant
This position will support the project, “Building a Just and Viable Local Food System in Bridgeport, Connecticut”. The goal of this project is to expand the role of farmers markets as inclusive spaces, increase awareness of fresh food outlets among Bridgeport’s residents who use SNAP, and increase capacity for urban agriculture in Bridgeport. Research includes work in the areas of building community resilience, natural disasters and global health.
